I have three 'Birchilla' kittens, only referred to as Birchillas by myself, as they were the result of an accidental mating between our Silver-tipped Chinchilla female and our seal-point Birman male. Both the parents and the kittens are now de-sexed, and since this type of cat does not appear to be bred in Australia we will never have any more, so I am very interested in hearing from anyone either within or outside Australia who has carried out this particular mating. Our kittens are silver tabbies (tipped only) and one has much darker tipping than the others (whom we call 'the twins' since their markings are exactly the same). Their fur is very long, with bushy tails - since they are only 7 months old it will be interesting to see how they look as adults. However, I would love to hear from anyone who can help me to know more about this new breed.
Thank you,
